About The Author

I was born and raised in Wyoming, but I have called Tennessee my home for over 40 years. There is a house at the foot of the beautiful Ridge and Valley Appalachian mountains and the residence is ruled by the iron paws of 4 cats. They allow me to live here with my 90 lb. Lab cross, Duncan, as long as I adequately feed them, tend their needs and provide daily treats. They are wonderful assistants to my writing, as the picture shows, taking turns to ensure that the computer needs occasional vacuuming due to their insistence that it is a warm bed. The dog is also a good source of warmth when they want to nap, which is why he is allowed to stay. I hope that I will spend many more years here, breathing in Nature’s inspiration and having my work well-supervised by the felines.
